Sherin Al Safadi
Sherin completed a Bachelor’s degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology, and a Master’s degree in Pharmacology and Therapeutics, both at McGill University. She researched novel therapies in cancer drug development at the McGill University Health Center, and having practiced research in an academic setting for 5 years, then decided to undertake an MBA and venture into the private sector. Sherin’s ultimate plan is to become engaged in accelerating drug discovery from the research lab to the corporate world, by way of managing the development of novel therapeutic agents. As part of her MBA experience, she concluded an internship with the Community for Excellence in Health Governance, embarked on a summer exchange program in Germany, and was elected as the President of the Commerce Graduate Students’ Association. As an organizer for the John Molson MBA International Case Competition, Sherin looks forward to joining a tradition of excellence, forming a cohesive working environment, developing her personal and professional skills, and most importantly, giving back to the academic community.
